My art begins with my own original photography. The Digital Artistry category uses my own images as a main subjects, then are overlaid with textures and other components. One might say we digital artists "paint with pixels" to achieve a final composition. The possibilities are endless, just like having a brush, an empty canvas, and inspiration to design new images that tell a story, or create a mood. Advances in software and camera gear open many new ways of seeing and capturing the ordinary. Using new effects allow for different forms of creativity. There are many fun and unusual textures, overlays and other elements available to enhance an image, or change its feeling entirely.
I am based in San Diego, California, and enjoy being able to share with my viewers many of the things San Diego has to offer, whether it be the beach, ocean, local mountains and deserts, nature, cityscapes, or cultural scenery.
